WHAT’S NEW ON THE SITE – JANUARY 2019

Rania’s Note

This month marks the launch of our (my) website.

Like every month, there have been many a goal established both on the personal and professional front.

This is an especially goal setting month, however, due to the end of the year, the start of January and the influx of resolutions that I hope  – fingers crossed – happen.

I hope you have enjoyed the end of the year and have managed to spend at least a few relaxing days with dear friends and family.

May the rest and relaxation that you have enjoyed be a driving force for all the busy moments that will follow and may you soar high and conquer all your goals and dreams for 2019.

Bachelor of Travel – What was Posted

For this month we have four articles on the site which I present to you below.

things I try to remember before I press post - rocks and water

Things I Try To Remember Before I Press Post + How I Fail

  • This is a typical overthinking it post that has some sound points. Putting things on the World Wide Web might not seem like a big deal since we are so used to doing it every day, however, I wanted to start of the website, month, and year (!) with some general guidelines of what I am doing and why I am doing it, before I press that publish button.

Revisiting Places You Lived In As A Child

  • This one goes out to those of us that travelled as children. I hope it inspires conversation about what you felt when you first moved away from home. Would you go back and visit the old neighbourhoods that shaped your character in places that can be so foreign to where you are originally from?

All The Possible Definitions Of Travel And Travelling

  • An internal debate and one which I enjoy discussing at large, especially since the struggle of travel vs doing (normal) life can be a common one. A quick look at how traditional definitions can be what is holding us back from enjoying life whether that includes travelling or not.
2018-NY-BoracayTrip-5

Boracay – Most Visited Island On the Planet Stands For Local Filipino Culture

  • After my fourth visit to Manila, I was lucky to spend a week in one of the most beautiful islands on our earth. Boracay was recently reopened after a 6-month rehabilitation period that was urgently needed to combat over tourism. What I saw surprised me, to say the least!

MINI ADVENTURES

First monthly mini-adventure of the year has also begun!

You can read more about the concept of mini-adventures and what I hope to accomplish by deliberating calling them as such (even when they seem to be mundane everyday things). Spoiler, that’s the point!

For this month’s adventure, I travelled all the way across town and back in time for a performance of Shakespearean magic!

If you would like to join into my mini adventures every month, click here and use the link at the bottom of the page to subscribe.

Subscribers get: an inside scoop on what mini-adventure is coming up next month so they can play along, voting rights for next month’s pick and a chance to share their experience and be featured on the website. It’s all very fun and community oriented!

See you next month!
